Living World - Science Laboratory
2023 Sep - Nov
Living World Graduation Project
The goal of this project was to create a lively environment by populating it with animated characters. This allowed me to practice working with motion capture data, converting it into usable gameplay assets, and utilizing Metahuman rigs and systems in Unreal Engine.
ㅤ
This project taught me a great deal about handling motion capture data and transforming it into usable assets within MotionBuilder, including creating cycles, using auxiliary effectors, applying filters, and more. Additionally, I gained extensive experience working with Unreal Engine, Metahumans, Sequencer, and various techniques for utilizing the root bone.
ㅤ
Initially, this project was overly ambitious. Through its development, I reflected on my goals for a practice piece like this and came to appreciate the importance of managing scope effectively.
